Dental Implants in Karachi  |  Replace Missing Teeth for Good

Dental Implants in Karachi – Permanent Tooth Replacement from PKR 80,000

A missing tooth is not just a gap in your smile. It changes how you chew, how you speak, and quietly shrinks the jawbone underneath it year after year. A dental implant is the only tooth replacement that fixes all three, because it replaces the root as well as the tooth. At Alkhaleej Clinics, our PMDC-registered implantologists place single-tooth implants, multi-tooth bridges and full-arch All-on-4 restorations at our Bahadurabad clinic, using digital imaging and internationally certified implant systems. Dental implant cost in Karachi starts from PKR 80,000, quoted in full after your X-ray, with nothing added later.

Digital Planning & Imaging

We do not guess where an implant goes. Digital X-rays and CBCT scanning let us measure your bone height and width, map the nerve position, and place the implant in exactly the right spot the first time.

Implant quotes elsewhere often leave out the abutment, the crown or the graft. Ours does not. You get one written total after your scan, covering every stage from placement to the final crown, and that is the figure you pay.

What Is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a small screw-shaped post, usually made of medical-grade titanium, that is placed into your jawbone where the missing tooth root used to be. Over the following months the bone grows tightly around it in a process called osseointegration, effectively making the implant part of your jaw.

Once it has fused, a connector called an abutment is attached, and a custom-made crown is fitted on top. The result looks like a tooth, feels like a tooth, and takes chewing force like a tooth, because it is anchored the same way a real one is.

  • The post replaces the root and keeps the jawbone stimulated
  • The abutment connects the post to the visible tooth
  • The crown is shade matched to your neighbouring teeth
This three-part structure is why implants behave so differently from dentures and bridges. Everything else sits on the gum. An implant is anchored in the bone.

Do You Need a Dental Implant?

Most patients who come to us for implants are in one of a handful of situations. See if any of these sound familiar:

  • You have lost one or more teeth to decay, gum disease or an accident
  • A tooth is cracked or broken beyond saving and needs extraction
  • Your denture moves when you eat, clicks when you talk, or has stopped fitting
  • You want to avoid filing down healthy teeth for a conventional bridge
  • Your face has started to look sunken where teeth are missing
  • You are chewing on one side only because the other side has a gap
There is one thing worth knowing about timing. The jawbone under a missing tooth starts shrinking within months of the tooth coming out, and the longer you wait, the more likely you are to need a bone graft first. If you have a gap, get it assessed early. Call 0336-1176453.
Every Case Is Different

Types of Dental Implants We Offer in Karachi

From a single missing tooth to a complete arch, here are the options your dentist will walk you through at your consultation.

Single Tooth Implant

One implant post and one crown, replacing one missing tooth without touching the teeth either side. This is the most common implant treatment we do, and the most straightforward.

From PKR 80,000

Multiple Tooth Implants

Several missing teeth in a row do not always need one implant each. Two implants can support a three or four-unit bridge, which keeps the result strong while reducing the number of surgical sites.

Quoted per case

All-on-4 Full Arch

A complete upper or lower arch of fixed teeth supported by just four angled implants. The usual solution for patients who have lost most of their teeth or who are done with loose dentures.

Quoted after CBCT scan

All-on-6 Full Arch

The same fixed-arch concept using six implants instead of four, for extra support and load distribution. Recommended where bone volume allows and the bite force is heavy.

Quoted after CBCT scan

Zirconia (Metal-Free) Implants

A white ceramic alternative to titanium, chosen by patients with metal sensitivity or where a very thin gum line makes a metal shadow a cosmetic concern. Not suitable for every case.

Premium tier

Bone Graft & Sinus Lift

Not an implant itself, but the groundwork some patients need first. Rebuilds jawbone that has shrunk after long-term tooth loss so the implant has something solid to anchor into.

Quoted after scan
What Actually Happens

The Dental Implant Procedure — Step by Step

Implant treatment is spread over several months, but only a few of those visits involve any actual work. Here is how your case runs from start to finish.

1

Consultation & 3D Scan

Your dentist examines the site and takes a digital X-ray or CBCT scan to measure bone height, bone width and nerve position. This is where we find out whether you need a graft, and what your treatment will actually cost.

2

Treatment Plan & Written Quote

You get a plan showing how many implants you need, which system will be used, how long each stage takes, and one written total covering everything. Nothing gets booked until you are comfortable with it.

3

Extraction or Bone Graft (If Needed)

If the damaged tooth is still in place it is removed first. If your scan showed insufficient bone, grafting material is placed and left to integrate. Not every patient needs this stage.

4

Implant Placement

Under local anesthesia, a small opening is made in the gum and the titanium post is placed into the jawbone. A single implant typically takes 45 to 90 minutes, and you go home the same day.

5

Healing & Osseointegration

The implant now needs three to six months to fuse with your bone. This is the waiting part, not the working part. For front teeth we fit a temporary tooth so you are never walking around with a visible gap.

6

Abutment & Final Crown

Once fusion is confirmed, the abutment is attached and impressions are taken. Your custom crown is made and shade matched to your other teeth, then fitted and adjusted until the bite feels natural.

Honest Comparison

Dental Implant vs Bridge vs Denture

Implants are not automatically the right answer for everyone. Here is a straight comparison so you can see where each option genuinely wins.

Consideration Dental Implant Dental Bridge Denture
Typical lifespan Decades, often lifetime Around 10–15 years Around 5–8 years
Fixed in place Yes Yes No — removable
Preserves jawbone Yes No No
Affects healthy teeth No — stands alone Yes — neighbours filed down No
Chewing strength Closest to a natural tooth Good Limited — hard foods difficult
Treatment time 3–6 months total 2–3 weeks 2–4 weeks
Upfront cost Highest Moderate Lowest
Long-term value Usually best — rarely replaced Moderate — replaced periodically Lowest — refits and relines needed

A denture or a bridge is still the sensible choice for some patients, particularly where bone volume, general health or budget rules implants out. Your dentist will say so plainly rather than push you toward the most expensive option.

Benefits of Dental Implants

Patients usually come in thinking about the cosmetic side. What they notice afterwards tends to be everything else:

  • You eat normally again. Nuts, apples, corn, chapati crusts. No side of the mouth is off limits
  • It stays put. Nothing to take out, no adhesive, no clicking mid-sentence
  • Your jawbone is protected. The implant keeps stimulating the bone, which is what stops the sunken look
  • Neighbouring teeth stay whole. No healthy enamel is ground away to anchor anything
  • Speech stays clear. Gaps and slipping dentures both affect certain sounds. An implant does not
  • It is cleaned like a normal tooth. Brush and floss it the same way as the rest
  • Long-term economics work out. A higher upfront cost, but rarely replaced, unlike bridges and dentures

Recovery & Aftercare — What to Expect

The surgery day sounds like the hard part, but for most patients it is not. Expect some soreness and swelling around the site for two to three days, peaking on day two, then settling steadily. Ordinary pain relief usually covers it, and your dentist will prescribe antibiotics if the case warrants them.

  • First 24 hours: avoid rinsing hard, spitting, hot drinks and smoking
  • First week: soft diet, chew on the opposite side, cold compress for swelling
  • Weeks 2 to 4: most patients are back to normal eating on that side gradually
  • Months 3 to 6: the quiet fusion period, with review appointments to check healing
  • Ongoing: brush and floss the implant exactly like a natural tooth, and keep your check-ups
The single biggest thing you control is smoking. It reduces blood supply to the healing bone and is the most common reason an implant fails to integrate. If you stop before surgery and stay off it through healing, you meaningfully improve your odds. Questions during recovery? Call 0336-1176453 — we are here six days a week.

FAQs – Dental Implants in Karachi

Dental implants at Alkhaleej Clinics start from PKR 80,000 per implant, and most single-tooth cases fall between PKR 80,000 and PKR 200,000 including the crown. The final price depends on the implant brand you choose, the position of the tooth, and whether bone grafting is needed first. We confirm your exact cost in writing after your examination and X-ray, before any treatment begins. Call 0336-1176453 for a quote.

A dental implant is a small titanium or zirconia post placed into your jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root. Once it fuses with the bone, it supports a crown, a bridge or a full arch of teeth. Unlike a denture, it is fixed in place. Unlike a bridge, it does not require the healthy teeth either side to be filed down.

The placement itself is not painful. The area is completely numbed with local anesthesia, so you feel pressure and movement rather than pain. Most patients tell us it felt easier than the tooth extraction that came before it. Mild soreness and swelling for two to three days afterwards is normal and settles with ordinary pain relief.

The implant post is designed to be permanent and, with good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, can last decades or a lifetime. The crown on top is the part that wears, and typically needs replacing after roughly 10 to 15 years. Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and neglected gum disease are the main things that shorten implant life.

Placing the implant takes about 45 to 90 minutes for a single tooth. The waiting period is the long part: the implant needs three to six months to fuse with your jawbone before the permanent crown goes on. If bone grafting is required first, add another three to six months. For front teeth we fit a temporary tooth, so you are never left with a visible gap.

Most healthy adults with enough jawbone and healthy gums are suitable. Implants are not usually placed in children or teenagers whose jaws are still growing. Uncontrolled diabetes, active gum disease, heavy smoking and some medications affect healing, so these need to be discussed and managed first. Low bone volume is rarely a dead end, because bone grafting or a sinus lift can often rebuild the site.

For most patients, yes. Implants are fixed so they do not slip while eating or speaking, they preserve jawbone that shrinks under a denture, and they do not require grinding down the healthy teeth either side the way a bridge does. That said, dentures and bridges are cheaper upfront and remain sensible choices in some situations, which is why we go through all three options honestly at your consultation.

Yes. All-on-4 replaces a complete arch of teeth using just four strategically angled implants supporting a fixed bridge, instead of one implant per missing tooth. All-on-6 uses six implants for extra support where bone allows. It is the usual solution for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth, or who are tired of loose dentures. Full-arch cases are quoted after a CBCT scan and assessment.

When a tooth has been missing for a long time, the jawbone in that area shrinks, and there may not be enough bone left to hold an implant securely. Bone grafting rebuilds that volume before implant placement. A sinus lift does the same job in the upper back jaw. Not everyone needs it, and your X-ray or CBCT scan tells us clearly whether you do. It is quoted separately, after the scan.

Yes. The crown is custom made and shade matched to your surrounding teeth, and the implant emerges from the gum the way a natural tooth root does. Once fitted, most people cannot tell which tooth is the implant, including the patient. For front teeth we pay particular attention to gum contour and shade, because that is where any difference would show.

Both are possible but need honest planning. Smoking reduces blood supply to the healing bone and measurably raises the risk of implant failure, so we ask patients to stop before surgery and during healing. Diabetes is not a barrier when it is well controlled, but poorly controlled blood sugar slows healing. Your dentist will assess your case individually rather than turn you away.

Failure is uncommon, but when it happens it is usually in the first few months, before the implant has fully fused with the bone. In that case the implant is removed, the site is allowed to heal, the underlying cause is addressed, and a replacement implant can usually be placed later. Published success rates for dental implants are above 95 percent when they are placed and maintained properly.

Yes — we have experienced female dentists and implantologists at our Bahadurabad clinic, and plenty of patients specifically ask for one. Just mention it when you book on 0336-1176453 and we'll arrange it.
